GAMECOCK R40

Built in 1925, Gamecock (or Original Gamecock as we call her) is a Herreshoff R Class Racing Sloop. She was designed by “the Wizard of Bristol”, Captain Nat G. Herreshoff and built by the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company for the co-commodores of the New York Yacht Club, G. Nicholas and J.P. Morgan. She was restored in 2000’s by Wooden Tangent in Mattapoisett, Mass and continuously maintained at the highest level by LMI, LLC. She is actively raced in New England in the summer.

Peacock

Designed in 1899 and built between then and 1905, Peacock is a Herreshoff Newport 15, “E-Boat”. A gaff rigged sloop, Peacock was designed as one of the first One Design racing sailboats by N.G. Herreshoff and built in Bristol, Rhode Island. She was fully restored by the International Yacht Restoration School in 2017/2018. She is configured for travel and is making her first trip south, to Miami in Winter 2020.

Sea Lion

Designed in 1914 and built in 1974, Sea Lion is a Wianno Senior. Designed and built by H.M Crosby in Osterville, Cape Cod as a One Design race boat. Moored in Pleasant Bay, Cape Cod, she is lightly raced in local regatta’s.
